Godwin Emefiele, the suspended governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN), has been granted bail by a federal high court in Lagos in the amount of N20 million.
The allegations against Emefiele are bailable, according to a decision made on Tuesday by the presiding judge, Nicholas Oweibo.
Bail was approved with one surety in the same amount.
The two-count accusation involving the alleged illegal possession of firearms was brought against Emefiele earlier, and he entered a plea of not guilty.
